These are Professional Learning Networks that I follow for new learning opportunities. Each one provides different resources, tips, and tools to help better myself and other learners. Feel free to contact me with other beneficial sites to help in the learning process.

ISTE

This is a community I use for technology updates and information on any upcoming tech conferences. While I am not able to attend any of them yet, I know a lot of people who’ve recommended this community and have certifications for teaching their content.

We Are Teachers

We Are Teachers provides me a lot of content and resources that I can implement in the classroom. It also provides a venue of communicating with other teachers who share the same ideologies and want to share that with other teachers. I’ve used a few ideas from here and share other resources with my team members.

Edutopia

Edutopia provides another outlet where I can find articles of different stories throughout the field of education. It also gives me resources and tools to help me teach and build relationships with students and parents.

Mindshift

I haven’t used this site much, but it is always a good idea to have a variety of platforms to gather content from. While there is not a lot of resources to gather from here, I can find a number of articles to learn more about what’s going on in education, or hear other stories.

Google for Education

I was excited to find out that Google has a site for educational tools and learning. Anything Google has usually excites me so this was no different. In today’s modern age, it is important to have a resource for implement technology into the classroom, or in our everyday lives.

The Learning Channel

The Learning Channel is somewhat similar to We Are Teachers. I use the resources and teachings to help me implement some new ideas in the classroom. I also use writing topics, or find other ways to teach content that the students find boring, or uninterested.

TED

I enjoy using TED talks for a variety of videos that focus on new ideas and theories. I try to implement some of the new ideas either to myself, my students, my family or even my job. I believe that a lot of the ideas shared during TED talks are important in sharing and learning new ideas and concepts.

Scholastic

What better place to find information on books, teaching, or resources that the original source or information? Scholastic has been around for years and always provides great things such as the book fair for my school, or even when I was younger. When I realized that they were more than that, I had to join their site for more information.

Feedspot

This site was recommended by one of my classmates where you can find a variety of blogs all at your fingertips. I use it for finding other learning content, or other stuff that I am interested in and I think others may like as well.

PBS Teacher

PBS Teacher provides a number of videos to help me integrate something different in the classroom. While to some students it may seem childish, PBS has made sure to make content for all levels of interest. There are also a variety of tools and resources to use in the classroom as well.
